Fushoushan 2,400m High Mountain Oolong|福壽山2,400m高山茶
Compared with other tea-producing regions, Fushoushan is characterized by a cold climate and frequent mist, with leaf shale soil that offers excellent drainage.
To survive in such a cold environment, tea plants accumulate higher levels of sugars and amino acids in their leaves. In addition, the shorter sunlight exposure reduces the content of tea polyphenols, which are responsible for bitterness and astringency. These unique environmental conditions, combined with excellent tea-making craftsmanship, give Fushoushan tea its distinctive high-mountain character.
The flavor profile of Fushoushan Oolong Tea can be described as fresh, smooth, naturally sweet, and gentle on the palate. It carries an elegant floral aroma while maintaining a clean and simple taste. High-quality Fushoushan tea may also exhibit a fresh, grape-skin-like fragrance reminiscent of green-skinned grapes.
While high-mountain tea is generally defined as tea grown above 1,000 meters, Fushoushan tea is cultivated at an exceptionally high altitude of 2,400 meters, making it a rare and limited-production tea. It is also recognized as one of the highest tea-growing regions in Taiwan.
