[Sun Moon Lake Tea King: Shuangji Tea Industry] Laoqin Assam Black Tea

[Sun Moon Lake Tea King: Shuangji Tea Industry] Laoqin Assam Black Tea

It was exactly 100 years ago, in 1925, that the Japanese first planted Assam tea seeds in Sun Moon Lake, Taiwan, marking the beginning of a century-long history of Taiwanese black tea, starting with Sun Moon Lake black tea. As you read along, tracing the progress of this golden age, you can savor Lao Cong Assam black tea from trees over 80 years old.

The tea was crafted by Mr. Zhuang Rongpu (Zhuangji Tea Industry), a renowned tea maker who has won first place (special prize) at the Sun Moon Lake Black Tea Competition for eight consecutive years. This is an extremely rare black tea made by Sun Moon Lake's strongest tea maker and using the oldest Assam tea trees.

This is a rare Taiwanese tea that we only stock in small quantities, and we highly recommend you try it at least once.
