野放高山貴妃茶(蜜香烏龍)|High Mountain Muscatel Oolong

This rare High Mountain Oolong is grown in a pesticide- and fertilizer-free wild tea garden. Its signature sweet aroma comes from tea green leafhopper bites, a phenomenon rarely occurring at high altitudes. Handcrafted from these unique leaves, it is a prized "High Mountain Muscatel Oolong."

A Rare Production Story

Tea green leafhoppers are uncommon at high elevations, making honey-scented teas like Oriental Beauty and Honey Black Tea typically mid- or low-altitude products. Similarly, Gui Fei Cha (貴妃茶) is often made in the Tongding (凍頂) region, at around 800 meters above sea level. The Tongding Farmers' Association even holds an annual "Tongding Gui Fei Cha" competition, highlighting its significance as a regional specialty.

However, this tea is an exception: in spring, tea green leafhoppers visited a wild garden at 1,680 meters. Master Zhang Ming-Rui (張茗睿) hand-harvested and handcrafted the limited tea leaves, creating a unique and exquisite "Handcrafted Honey Aroma High Mountain Oolong."

Characteristics of Gui Fei Cha

Gui Fei Cha, a rare honey-scented oolong, gains its natural sweetness from tea green leafhopper bites. With medium fermentation and roasting, it shares aromatic similarities with Oriental Beauty and Honey Black Tea, making it an excellent choice for fans of honeyed teas.
